Support for sigrok?
« on: March 26, 2020, 01:07:21 PM »
Hello,
is there any possibility to add support for ScopeFun to sigrok?

https://sigrok.org/
https://sigrok.org/wiki/Supported_hardware

It will hugely extend the usability and variability...

Thanks

UPDATE: the last sentence was slightly magnified, but the true is, that the sfScope is not too much intuitive - mainly in the way, that some items doesn't take effect imediately (or is not clear if it make some effect or not) - sometime because it is not applicable in such state - but that is not obvious... There is lot of buttons with unclear functionality (e.g. Play, Pause, Simulate... what they do?)

... where is the best place, to report bugs/RFEs ... etc... Here on the forum or on gitlab?

Hello,

Sigrok could be supported in the future, but priority is currently on solving bugs.

Regarding the buttons:
Pause - pauses the signal capture
Play - plays back previously captured signal
Simulate - simulates signal capture using software generator

Bugs can be reported here or on gitlab. Gitlab is recommended since it provides bug tracking functionality.

Regards,
Dejan

Dear Dejan

Is it need stored the firmware on board permanently to support sigrok? It's too trouble to upload firmware before each use.thanks

Firmware upload is required only if the board was disconnected, otherwise just start capture. It takes only a few seconds for upload, so that should't be an issue.
