Q: Where can I get ScopeFun?

A: ScopeFun was successfully funded in crowdfunding campaign on Crowd Supply.

I did a upload of the current gerbers on oshpark.com and they come to about $240 USD for 3 pcbs, that's about $80 USD per bare pcb.  Maybe its possible to split board into smaller sub-boards or compact layout to fit into smaller form factor?

The pcb size is 100 x 160 mm. I don't think that pcb size can be reduced significantly. Maybe with smaller component sizes (0402 instead of 0603), but then then it would be more difficult to solder them by hand.

It seems to be a very nice project...

I would be interested in the next group order. (maybe on kickstarter ?)

Bulk buy is the way to go.  EasyEDA can fab this board for under $10 each.  distribution is another matter.

Hi Dejan, any update on the new version?

We are still working on new version...

I am not sure how long it will take to finish it, but we are making progress. We can share more information about hardware specifications.

New version will have FX3 chip (USB 3.1 Gen 1) and higher sampling rate (250 Msps). There will also be new FPGA (Artix-7) and onboard DDR3 RAM (512 MB) for buffering samples.

Will it be possible to buy a pre-built version? I am ready to pay high extra.

Thanks for asking. Our plan is to organise a collective order to reduce production costs. When the new hardware version will be finished, we will start a crowd funding campaign and if it will be successful, we will place a bulk order to the pcb manufacturer.

Hi! The new version is under development. We are currently testing the hardware and preparing the final pcb revision. We expect that the final version will be ready until end of Q1 2018.
Regarding the group order, we plan to start a crowdfunding campaign.
We will send a newsletter with all the details when the new version will be finished.

The updated specs sound really exciting.
Will you just make bare PCBs or fully assembled boards for the crowdfunding campaign?
